New Friends (November 15, 2024)

 Our biggest success was on Wednesday this week and on Saturday. Wednesday we met with both Linda and Zeppelin. (Our two friends on baptism date) with Zeppelin we had a tour of the meeting house and shared some of lesson 3. We also had Brother Saaid our ward mission leader there. I thought that that was particularly good because it allowed Zeppelin to see and meet someone with similarities in the church.

With linda we taught her lesson 3 as well, with sister Thomas our ward missionary. We brought some brownies to her and sister Thomas. One thing about sister Thomas is that she told us she doesn't eat sugar. Another part of it is, we accidentally were at the wrong door for Linda. Because of those two things we were able to give some brownies to somone who wasn't expecting it which I felt really good about.
Saturday we met with a recent referral (Greg) who had heard several things against the church from online and from friends and decided that he wanted to get the truth from the source. Well follow up with him soon.

As per other new Friends I tried to bake some bread with self raising flour (never again) and it ended up with a strong taste of baking powder. Such as it is we decided to befriend the Magpies by giving up the failed bread as well as preserve our lives from the deadly birds. I think it was an acceptable peace offering as I haven't been attacked recently.

P.S.
For those who may be wondering, I HAVE been swooped by a magpie and I now have a full understanding as to why and how Alfred Hitchcock was promoted to make a movie about "The Birds".

  We had a baptism this Sunday so if you read any part of this, that will be the most exciting bit.. It's at the bottom. This week was a bit slow but I would still say it was good. One of us wasn't feeling well so getting out was a bit hard. Tuesday we had our District Council which we have each week. I gave our skills training about finding people to teach, I'm not sure how well I did but I felt like it was okay. Wednesday we had an exchange I was with an elder named Elder Biesinger and for his exercise in the morning he likes to run, so we went for a run that morning and it made me realise just how unfit I am currently Thursday we did our weekly planning and we worked on the program for our friend's baptism (more on that later) we also called/ messaged everyone who we needed to have participate in the baptism. The Past Few Week (June 10, 2024)

  This has been one of the best transfers I've had. Being with Elder Danielson has been really good. Especially because he wants to work hard his last transfer. I think up to this point I want to care less what people think and I'm thinking about how Joseph Smith was told his name was to be had for good and evil. And I want to put forward my effort to keep pressing forward and living every day like its the day of the second coming. On Tuesday's, while we're on out way back to our area, and that has been going really well. I also think that it shows that we want to work even though we know that's what we want to do it's good for people to see that desire to work. Last week we were going back and stopped by a member who gave us a referral for one of his friends but he didn't seem interested at the time. Horse on the Road

  Our friend down in Benalla, Michael still seems to be quite interested. We were going to invite him to church this week but he is down in Melbourne for a couple of weeks. We also had a lesson planned with our friend Robert but for some reason he won't answer phone calls or texts and we were unable to see him this week. On Friday we were able to meet with Geoff although he is having a hard time medically we were able to say a few words on the atonement and how he is not alone in his pain.  After meeting with Geoff we ran into an older gentleman who had some questions regarding the relationship of the Bible and The Book of Mormon which we were able to show a few scriptures that helped to show the Importance of having both together.  Last Monday we were driving to Wagga on for our district council on tuesday and everything was going smoothly.
