Nah yea, or yea nah? (8 weeks ago) (September 9, 2024)

 Found still in "drafts"

I'm sure many of you have not heard yet but i have a new companion as my last one, Elder Danielson finished. My new companion is Elder Van and he's from Cambodia.

I'll attempt to catch up from the previous weeks

After Elder Danielson went home I went to the city with one of our Zone leaders until transfers happened. And I found that I don't really like the city too much it seems like many people like to ignore you. Additionally, I on one of the mornings I was there, we got a phone call from a man who decided to start yelling and swearing at us to which he added a nice threat as the cherry on top. Although I knew that he wouldn't carry out what he said, I couldn't help but keep an eye out for a guy with a green bag (which i heard he often carries) Sunday came and and we ended up being there the whole day. The morning we had ward council and then church. After church we had church. This isn't a typo, we had two wards to attend the first in English and the second in Mandarin. After that the Zone leader called all the district leaders in the zone and after that we had a lesson with a friend. I don't remember everything that happened other than that Saturday where I helped with the English class in the city.

This week was good although one thing that I'm wanting to improve on is keeping the days from feeling repetitive. We got a referral a few weeks ago. Unfortunately this week he was unable to be at church but we were able to contact him and follow up. Additionally, he will be away for about a month. Because of this we need to be as persistent as we can. Thursday we went to see another referral and they weren't there so we decided to call. When they called back we found that she is a member but her husband is not. We were really happy to have them at church this Sunday. Last week we visited our new member Brendon and what we found out was he is now going to a Pentecostal church which I was somewhat happy to hear because he had stopped coming to church and my fear was that he had completely abandoned religion, so for me it was good to hear that he was still learning.

This Wednesday we had our zone Conference in Wantirna where much of the focus was on studying and sharing the Book of Mormon.

As a mission, we are going to read the whole Book of Mormon before our next zone conference.

So far I really liked second Nephi: 9
I'll tell you why next week
(I think leaving on a cliffhanger will motivate me to write again next week)

And the other is what you find at your typical everyday Australian shop. (Note the 4.5 star health rating)
