Long Exchange and Five New Friends (August 29, 2023)

I love the area of Cranbourne and the people here. I'm sad to leave but the great thing is that i feel like I've left the area stronger than i found it. We are still struggling to get a day for baptism for Enoch. Unfortunately the fact of the Area is that everyone seems too busy for us, and too busy for the Lord, prioritising sports and work over the salvation of themselves and their family.

Elder Tengu and i were able to find five new people over the exchange. And that was really good. I also better learned the principle behind find when you teach and teach when you find. We were visiting a grey dot (old referral) and while That person wasn't interested we talked to a lady who was walking by. And we were able to meet her daughter and son in law.they accepted a BOM from us and even suggested that they might join the Church.

One way that I've seen the hand of the lord is through elder Tengu despite the hard things he's gone through, he continues to grow the mission and his efforts.

Last week we had Zone Conference, we were fortunate to have Elder Jeremy Jaggi a general authority seventy come for Zone Conference. He also came to the ward that I was serving in for sacrament meeting. The first thing that i noticed is that he went straight to the youth before bishop or anyone else. When the primary children sang our prelude hymn he gave his full attention, really highlighting what the focus of the church is. How we need to raise up a righteous generation for the Lord and His works.

Transfers are in two days and I'm going to Weribee on the west side.

That's all for this week!
