New in Australia! March 20, 2023



I'm grateful to finally be able to be out of MTC. it's been really good so far. We Rode our bikes around the neighbourhood I, along with my companion elder Taua. He is from Sydney and he is been on the mission for about a year now. I share a flat (or an apartment) with 4 other elders. One is my companion the other's name's are elder Aulick elder Cooper and elder Stewart. We taught one if our friends this Sunday and I think that he and his twin brother are going to be baptised soon. The first night I was here we had dinner at a members house. We had taro, curry, and corned beef. There were four baptisms this Saturday and all if them were great. While we were waiting for them to change they had us missionaries sing Love at Home. Today we went shopping which was weird after the MTC.

When we got back we found that one of our friends had left us some groceries. Here in Melbourne people are so thoughtful and kind toward each other. I love you all so much.

Our Baptism (September 15, 2024)

  We had a baptism this Sunday so if you read any part of this, that will be the most exciting bit.. It's at the bottom. This week was a bit slow but I would still say it was good. One of us wasn't feeling well so getting out was a bit hard. Tuesday we had our District Council which we have each week. I gave our skills training about finding people to teach, I'm not sure how well I did but I felt like it was okay. Wednesday we had an exchange I was with an elder named Elder Biesinger and for his exercise in the morning he likes to run, so we went for a run that morning and it made me realise just how unfit I am currently Thursday we did our weekly planning and we worked on the program for our friend's baptism (more on that later) we also called/ messaged everyone who we needed to have participate in the baptism. The Past Few Week (June 10, 2024)

  This has been one of the best transfers I've had. Being with Elder Danielson has been really good. Especially because he wants to work hard his last transfer. I think up to this point I want to care less what people think and I'm thinking about how Joseph Smith was told his name was to be had for good and evil. And I want to put forward my effort to keep pressing forward and living every day like its the day of the second coming. On Tuesday's, while we're on out way back to our area, and that has been going really well. I also think that it shows that we want to work even though we know that's what we want to do it's good for people to see that desire to work. Last week we were going back and stopped by a member who gave us a referral for one of his friends but he didn't seem interested at the time. Swooping Season and Summer (September 27, 2023)

  Summer has officially started here in the Aussie land of Wangaratta (I accidentally said I went to Werribee). We have been able to see and talk to more people now that the summer holiday has started. I definitely was able to see the hand of the lord with one potential  new friend. While we were doing a service he actually came to us and started talking with us. Which is something that is very rare for up here. A few weeks ago we went on a hike which unfortunately made me realise how out of shape I am. I did make it to the summit though and the view was pretty good. I gave a talk two Sundays ago. The branch president simply said to talk about something uplifting. I decided to base mine off of a talk by President Uchtdorf from October 2011 titled "you matter to him" I'm glad that I've learned how to use the scriptures when I teach or talk because it makes it so much easier to be guided to whichever scripture best fits.
