Something New April 17
Every once in a while from now on I'm going to start writing not just my experiences but something that I'm grateful for as well. This will not be a scheduled event but more of something that I do when I feel impressed to do so.
Because I do not have a computer to type on I am using the voice to text feature on the phone so if there are any weird spelling or grammar issues that is probably why. I also noticed that it repeats sometimes words that I say. I will try to delete these as best I can.
This is the last week of this transfer which is very weird to think about and right now all I can think about is things that have happened the past few weeks, so I'm going to do my best to just say things that have happened this last week. Unfortunately all of my flat except for me has been sick all week although on one day we did a mini exchange and this time I was with Elder Aulick. Because we were sick and didn't know if he was still contagious. So, we did tracting which led to one of the greatest miracles that I've seen this whole time on my mission. For those of you who don't know tracting is very inefficient and not the best way it the best way to bring people to the church because they don't know you and they don't have any fellowship in the ward. It also takes a lot of time to find someone who is interested in the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. But this time when we did it we only had about half an hour and we knocked on this house that had an Australian flag and sombody answered. She answered and we talked to her for a little. Just about her and what she's been doing during her day And we offered to tell her a message about It's Christ and she said that she was a little upset at the "big man" and that her parents had died recently and from there we asked if we could talk to her sometime this week.
That was a miracle in itself because tracting is very unlikely to find someone at all. And we found a new person within 20 minutes of tracting. That is the main miracle for this week. most of the week has gone as usual talking to people, talking to our friends and a lot if biking. This is a little shorter this week because not much happened with everyone being sick. Despite all the miracles that have happened these verses have helped me these past weeks.
D&C 121:7-8 "My son, peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment; 8 And then, if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high; thou shalt triumph over all thy foes.
Love. Elder Westover
