KFC for dayz (July 31, 2023)

 It still seems that we can't go a single week without being fed any KFC which has accumulated to probably about 5 of the 20 kilos that I've gained so far.

On Wednesday we did some GQing and there was one person who I had a good feeling about but didn't say much as far as inviting him to learn and after we left, i committed to asking the next person to give an answer that would imply that they might want to learn to meet back with the missionaries. The next person we met shared with us his story about recently discovering God. On Saturday we visited some members who haven't been visited in a long time and we found out that the parents had been away for their 10th wedding anniversary but their son was still there. We talked to him and from area book learned that he was the one member of his family who was unbaptized.

For the most part people are fairly kind when rejecting us or telling us that they aren't interested in learning or listening to us. and kindness is something that continues to become more scarce.

Most of what I wrote came from my letter to our mission president who we're having interviews with tomorrow.

  We had a baptism this Sunday so if you read any part of this, that will be the most exciting bit.. It's at the bottom. This week was a bit slow but I would still say it was good. One of us wasn't feeling well so getting out was a bit hard. Tuesday we had our District Council which we have each week. I gave our skills training about finding people to teach, I'm not sure how well I did but I felt like it was okay. The Past Few Week (June 10, 2024)

  This has been one of the best transfers I've had. Being with Elder Danielson has been really good. Especially because he wants to work hard his last transfer. I think up to this point I want to care less what people think and I'm thinking about how Joseph Smith was told his name was to be had for good and evil. And I want to put forward my effort to keep pressing forward and living every day like its the day of the second coming. On Tuesday's, while we're on out way back to our area, and that has been going really well. I also think that it shows that we want to work even though we know that's what we want to do it's good for people to see that desire to work. Last week we were going back and stopped by a member who gave us a referral for one of his friends but he didn't seem interested at the time. Horse on the Road

  Our friend down in Benalla, Michael still seems to be quite interested. We were going to invite him to church this week but he is down in Melbourne for a couple of weeks. We also had a lesson planned with our friend Robert but for some reason he won't answer phone calls or texts and we were unable to see him this week. On Friday we were able to meet with Geoff although he is having a hard time medically we were able to say a few words on the atonement and how he is not alone in his pain.  After meeting with Geoff we ran into an older gentleman who had some questions regarding the relationship of the Bible and The Book of Mormon which we were able to show a few scriptures that helped to show the Importance of having both together.  Last Monday we were driving to Wagga on for our district council on tuesday and everything was going smoothly.
