A change of scenery (March 3, 2024)

 I know it's been a long time and unfortunately i just don't really like writing. But still, I will try and do better. For anyone who hasn't heard yet, I've moved to a place called Seymour which isn't too far from where i was before. The first week I was here in Seymour we got a call at about 10.25 at night and we found out that it was a person who would really like to meet with us.

We are really trying to get a time to meet with our friend who lives close by and we were able to see him on Friday. But very recently, he moved away from, and is no longer living with his partner. And from what he said on the phone he doesn't have anywhere to stay. He still said that he would like to come to church but because of his living situation it Is now much harder for him. 

We were able to meet with our new member who was baptised before i came to the area and share some scriptures of comfort because she had to do something at court in relation to the custody of her children. She also asked for a blessing of comfort and we made sure to let her know that heavenly father is with her and that because she was baptised and confirmed, she has the Holy Ghost and we reminded her some of the things that the Holy Ghost can do for her such as helping her to know what to say, or to help calm her as well. The day after she said that the outcome was good and that she felt like she had heavenly father with her although she was nervous. She also said that after she called she was going to say a prayer of thanks to Him.

 Many of our friends at the moment seem too busy or unavailable to meet with us but we are making some progress with one of our less active members. We are going to start meeting with him once a week to read the scriptures with him.

Another good thing that has turned up is that we have a new family in the branch. they have a few kids one of which can pass the sacrament and another of them who is unbaptised we will continue to try and meet with them and see where they are feeling about their unbaptised son. We have also been trying to meet with the person who called us late at night, but he is struggling through some marital issues right now. He loves the book of Mormon and has met missionaries before in south Australia but the next step we need to take with him is to learn what he knows and if possible find out where he was before and contact the missionaries that are living currently in his old area.

This is the zone and my area is the largest one.

  We had a baptism this Sunday so if you read any part of this, that will be the most exciting bit.. It's at the bottom. This week was a bit slow but I would still say it was good. One of us wasn't feeling well so getting out was a bit hard. Tuesday we had our District Council which we have each week. I gave our skills training about finding people to teach, I'm not sure how well I did but I felt like it was okay. Wednesday we had an exchange I was with an elder named Elder Biesinger and for his exercise in the morning he likes to run, so we went for a run that morning and it made me realise just how unfit I am currently Thursday we did our weekly planning and we worked on the program for our friend's baptism (more on that later) we also called/ messaged everyone who we needed to have participate in the baptism. The Past Few Week (June 10, 2024)

  This has been one of the best transfers I've had. Being with Elder Danielson has been really good. Especially because he wants to work hard his last transfer. I think up to this point I want to care less what people think and I'm thinking about how Joseph Smith was told his name was to be had for good and evil. And I want to put forward my effort to keep pressing forward and living every day like its the day of the second coming. On Tuesday's, while we're on out way back to our area, and that has been going really well. I also think that it shows that we want to work even though we know that's what we want to do it's good for people to see that desire to work. Last week we were going back and stopped by a member who gave us a referral for one of his friends but he didn't seem interested at the time. Horse on the Road

  Our friend down in Benalla, Michael still seems to be quite interested. We were going to invite him to church this week but he is down in Melbourne for a couple of weeks. We also had a lesson planned with our friend Robert but for some reason he won't answer phone calls or texts and we were unable to see him this week. On Friday we were able to meet with Geoff although he is having a hard time medically we were able to say a few words on the atonement and how he is not alone in his pain.  After meeting with Geoff we ran into an older gentleman who had some questions regarding the relationship of the Bible and The Book of Mormon which we were able to show a few scriptures that helped to show the Importance of having both together.  Last Monday we were driving to Wagga on for our district council on tuesday and everything was going smoothly.
