Our Baptism (September 15, 2024)

We had a baptism this Sunday so if you read any part of this, that will be the most exciting bit..

It's at the bottom.

This week was a bit slow but I would still say it was good. One of us wasn't feeling well so getting out was a bit hard.
Tuesday we had our District Council which we have each week. I gave our skills training about finding people to teach, I'm not sure how well I did but I felt like it was okay. Wednesday we had an exchange I was with an elder named Elder Biesinger and for his exercise in the morning he likes to run, so we went for a run that morning and it made me realise just how unfit I am currently Thursday we did our weekly planning and we worked on the program for our friend's baptism (more on that later) we also called/ messaged everyone who we needed to have participate in the baptism. On Friday we went with our district leader for Erwin's interview (Erwin is our friend). I was really excited but I also started to get nervous because I was thinking so much about what could go wrong.
There are so many moving parts that I never considered until we were faced with them.
Saturday morning we went to clean the font but there was some construction nearby that required the water to be shut off meaning we couldn't clean the font until the next morning, IF we had water back on.
I prayed for every single aspect several times over and on the day everything went well.

There were so many miracles and I'll give a quick rundown in no particular order

1. The water was back on and we were able to clean the dirt off the font

2. We also had our ward's "men's conference" and had some extra fruit and desserts that we were able to use at the baptism

3. One of our members served in the Philippines which is where Erwin and his family (our friend) is from. And he was able to do the confirmation in Tagalog.

4. Our mission leaders (President and Sister Thomas) were able to be there

5. The morning of. i was thinking if everything was set and if everyone was informed and i thought of one of our other friends whom we should invite.
She came and had her two daughters with her

6. The water was warm

7. None of the bishopric were able to be there and the one we had conduct, knew this other friend we had invited and was able to talk with them

8. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. would not have happened had it been on Saturday.

And I'm sure there's more than that, which I don't even know.

It's cool how it happened on the 8th, 1 day before President Nelson's 100th birthday.

And one last thing, they asked me to do the baptism and there was so much happiness and joy that we all felt and we were able to have his wife as one of the witnesses which was extra special.

And one last thing, when President was there he gave us our transfer news.
I will be staying with Elder Hulet, Elder Van will be going.
