New Companion/training (December 9, 2024)

Left to right Me, Elder Anderson, and Elder Woods

This week was a little crazy for us because with transfers we weren't sure what day we should've been prepared to go down. From that all our plans were a bit uncertain. However we were still Able to work hard. Notable things include meeting with our friend Linda we taught her about the 10 commandments and the Word of wisdom she accepted the word of wisdom and is willing to give up coffee which is awesome we had two memebers Sister and Brother Atwell who helped with the explanation of some things and even gave her some alternatives to having coffee.
We also met a referral, Eliza Giovanni and were able to answer a lot of her questions about the church, we're not entirely sure yet if she would be interested in being baptised but for now she just wanted to learn how we live and what we believe. She's more of a learner of religions right now.
Yesterday we met with Zeppelin and we were also able to meet his friend that got him to religion. His friend's name is River. At first it was a bit of a bible bash, but I think it mostly came out of love for Zeppelin which is awesome to see. Although it came in the form of a bible bash we now know Zeppelin has a friend who's willing to fight for him. I was sort of expecting it to go that way so my main goal was to resolve any concerns that River had. One big concern was he thought we practically worship Joseph Smith unfortunately he learned from the wrong sources that try and defame the church. It's hard when so much misinformation is out there and all the history happened so long ago. Not many people are willing to take that trip to the past.
We were able to turn it into a positive outcome with which I was mostly happy. At the end we were able to re-establish that out faith is not built on Joseph Smith but on Jesus Christ and by thr end we were joking and laughing with each other. Which was an awesome outcome and I felt there were no hard feelings toward one another.

On Saturday we got a new Missionary. Elder Woods from Washington state.
One thing about our district is that last transfer we had only 6 young Missionaries in the district and now we have 11 plus Elder and Sister Rogers (a senior couple in Shepparton) so 13 total! One thing that's awesome is we now have Sister Missionaries in Finley. The reason that that's so awesome is for 1 they are the first Sisters in the bush/stake for several years and the Finley area hasn't had any Missionaries for the last 6 months.
It's going to be a good transfer.

I still get to stay with Elder Anderson this transfer and we are both training Elder Woods.
