(no subject (November 26, 2024)

 This week was busy but more with things outside of missionary work than usual (like an eye doctor appt. District council was quite good and I feel like the district has good unity with one another, You can definitely see the support that each of us has for one another and its really good to see. Out of all the things of being a district leader my favorite thing to see is that even though things are hard for certain areas each companionship is still wanting to work hard. It really helps to know that even if the numbers are low, if you are still willing to find and teach than you can show that through your work.

We've been unable to contact our friend Zeppelin this week he's out of data on his phone and hasn't been home any of the times we stopped by this week. Our next goal with him is to be able to 1. get in contact with him and 2. get another means of contact that doesn't require mobile data so we can have more certain contact.'
Our other friend, Linda is still super awesome but currently has covid, we've been in contact with her and the relief society so that she doesn't feel unloved and still needed.
She said to us that she feels very blessed right now. Linda is so awesome. The eye appt. went well, what we thought may have been an ulcer turned out to simply be dryness on the surface of the eye, so i just need to continue using lubricating drops.


I've really seen the hand of the lord through our friends we've found. especially with Linda and Zeppelin. We've also received so much support through brother Nico and I'm really grateful for his trust in us to teach his friends and to bring them closer to Jesus Christ he's a big support and has a beautiful testimony that is definitely a great one to share. One great thing that he said in his testimony is that "We don't come to church simply to be in a building. We are not coming to church we are coming to Jesus" and i thought that that outlines perfectly what coming to church is for. As a missionary you meet so many people that have left for several reasons, including those who simply had a disagreement with someone in the ward/branch, or simply think that it's not worth the time when you can still be a good person without going to church. While all these are valid reasons its important to do as Brother Nico said and "Come to Jesus" being in church is not special. But being in church with the spirit and with kind people is very special indeed.

  We had a baptism this Sunday so if you read any part of this, that will be the most exciting bit.. It's at the bottom. This week was a bit slow but I would still say it was good. One of us wasn't feeling well so getting out was a bit hard. Tuesday we had our District Council which we have each week. I gave our skills training about finding people to teach, I'm not sure how well I did but I felt like it was okay. Wednesday we had an exchange I was with an elder named Elder Biesinger and for his exercise in the morning he likes to run, so we went for a run that morning and it made me realise just how unfit I am currently Thursday we did our weekly planning and we worked on the program for our friend's baptism (more on that later) we also called/ messaged everyone who we needed to have participate in the baptism. The Past Few Week (June 10, 2024)

  This has been one of the best transfers I've had. Being with Elder Danielson has been really good. Especially because he wants to work hard his last transfer. I think up to this point I want to care less what people think and I'm thinking about how Joseph Smith was told his name was to be had for good and evil. And I want to put forward my effort to keep pressing forward and living every day like its the day of the second coming. On Tuesday's, while we're on out way back to our area, and that has been going really well. I also think that it shows that we want to work even though we know that's what we want to do it's good for people to see that desire to work. Last week we were going back and stopped by a member who gave us a referral for one of his friends but he didn't seem interested at the time. Horse on the Road

  Our friend down in Benalla, Michael still seems to be quite interested. We were going to invite him to church this week but he is down in Melbourne for a couple of weeks. We also had a lesson planned with our friend Robert but for some reason he won't answer phone calls or texts and we were unable to see him this week. On Friday we were able to meet with Geoff although he is having a hard time medically we were able to say a few words on the atonement and how he is not alone in his pain.  After meeting with Geoff we ran into an older gentleman who had some questions regarding the relationship of the Bible and The Book of Mormon which we were able to show a few scriptures that helped to show the Importance of having both together.  Last Monday we were driving to Wagga on for our district council on tuesday and everything was going smoothly.
